Spirit bottling blending process begins with treatment of water through a Reverse Osmosis process. Here, the raw water is pumped through a combined sand and activated carbon filter to remove particles, smell and chlorine. The water is then passed through ultrafiltration followed by reverse osmosis where antiscalant and pH adjusters are added.
The treated water is then used for blending of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) where a given quantity of ENA is pumped to mixing vessel and flavour and treated water is added and this mixture is left to mature. After maturity, the blended alcohol is transferred from blending tank through a meter to final product vessel from where alcohol is filled into bottles. Filling of alcohol into bottles is done by a filling plant line which comprises of the bottle rinsing machine, filling machine, capping machine, labeling machine, hologram applicator for application of KRA stamps on the bottles, bottle rejection system for rejection of non-conforming bottles and then packaging of the bottles in cartons for storage before dispatch to the market.
